Freitan SA was founded in 1983 to provide a door-to-door airfreight service between South Africa and Germany.

Since then, the company has grown significantly and presently provides a complete global logistics service to various organisations in Southern Africa and internationally.

In 1985 Freitan became a member of the Tesuco Group of Companies, which in addition to freight forwarding, has interests in the engineering, automotive, telecommunications and general trading industries in Europe, Asia and Southern Africa.

In February 2000 Freitan SA and Nippon Express forged a strategic alliance extending our global network to 390 service centers located in 210 cities in 37 countries and growing.
